Mark Jewell recently released footage of his 2016 adventure, scaling a wall of ice in one of Quebec's most stunning locations.

In the Parc Nationale des Hautes‑Gorges-de-la-Rivière‑Malbaie stood the ascent of la pomme d'or, a world-renowned ice climbing route in Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada.

At a dizzying 330 metres, the climb is not for the faint hearted, as to reach the climb, there is a 35km hike to the start that is only accessible by skis.

Taking two days to complete the climb, Mark and his friend Marc-Etienne Brunet had to camp out overnight in -35°C wind chills and then set off at 4am.
