We’re back with another Implied Harmony video! Today we're looking at yet another way of "playing out" and creating tension and release.
This solo is based on Fmaj7. To explore the harmonic way of thinking, we're picking a chord tone from the Fmaj7 (the root in this case) and extracting all the Major 7th chords that include this note.
Then we're applying these chords to the solo by arpeggiating them. This method works well in modal situations.
