Описание: Sheaf theory forms an important language for expressing local-global relationships that are found typically in geometry. In this video, we motivate and define the abstract notion of a sheaf by looking at the sheaf of continuous functions. The key is the sheaf property which we go through in detail.
This is the first video in a playlist on a "User's guide to coherent sheaves".
