I added deflector shields to Hyperkhukku! Each combat vehicle (including ground vehicles) has a shield that is divided into four quadrants, and the quadrants take damage depending on which quadrant was hit. The shield quadrants regenerate much faster than nanobot repair systems. When a shield quadrant gets below 50% strength, enemy damage starts to leak through and inflict structural damage. The shield strengths of the quadrants are represented on the HUD by four blue arcs. A full 90 degree arc means full strength. A smaller arc length corresponds to a weaker shield. No arc present means your shield is completely gone in the corresponding quadrant. I also added cool particle effects to the shields that change color based on the shield strength!

Click the first link to play the game. It's free, ad-free, and it works in your browser with no app installation required or other tricky business (and no sign-in), and it performs rather well on low-end laptops like my school-issued Chromebook (which I often screen-record on). You need a device with a keyboard to play (such as a laptop or desktop computer).
The second link is the beta edition of the same game, which will always be a step ahead of the first in terms of game development and features. Still, the first link is guaranteed to be fully functional and stable.
