GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE POST 2023 WORKPLACE FOR WELL PAID JOBS.
By following the 33 "Intelligences" Steps you will see yourself and the world around you in a totally different way. More importantly you will have a Foundation to build upon so you can not only "Keep up with change" but also often take advantage of it. You can "Make change your friend".
This is your opportunity to become what is really valued by Business people call a "Conscious Competent". That means knowing what you are doing and why you are doing it.
If you also have "Hard Skills" suited to a certain Business Sector then so much the better . But be alert to how quickly may hard skills are getting lower paid with global competition and how quickly they go out of date. If your focus is hard skills then be ready to show adaptability and that you like to keep up to date because Employers are driven by Market forces that change weekly.
By engaging with this "Intelligences" set of Lectures you will learn how to see opportunity all around you. Better than that you will be able to pick and choose the kind of work that interests you and have a very good chance of spending your life getting "Job satisfaction".
Even if you are still at University you can develop in the three key Capability areas of:
1. Manage Yourself 2. Manage Others and 3. Manage Situations.
It's about having "Balance" and your role as part of a team sharing a "Joint venture" for success.
Good Communicators and Team Players get chosen first. Employers look for people who can convince them of their Potential and have a positive Attitude to learn new skills.
Getting most well paid jobs is competitive and you often need to pass Capability Tests followed by multiple interviews. The hiring process will evaluate all four of your Intelligence types (Emotional, Social and Practical) and not just Academic. If you have been smart enough to develop your soft skills then you will be a Winner.
For many Employers your academic grades are less important than your "People strengths" and Soft Skills. So if you are struggling academically don't let that worry you, you may well have hidden strengths you can develop in the other three intelligence areas (EI, SI, PI/AFI). The Institute of Practical Learning (theipl.org) will help you and show you Step-by-Step ways so you can easily develop them. You can bring back the fun into learning.
Of course some jobs need "Hard skills", like Science subjects and expertise with special "Things and Processes". Software Engineer for example. University and Interning are great ways to learn those "Hard Skills".
But to progress into Management and Team Leader roles you will not get far without Self Awareness and Soft Skills. Plus career advancement is about taking on more responsibilities and enjoying being able to add value in new ways. You need to understand your Stress Management.
