By 2026, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport BKK will be undergoing major expansions, including the East Expansion to boost capacity to 80 million passengers/year and the start of South Terminal & 4th Runway development, funded partly by increased airport taxes, all aimed at supporting tourism and increasing overall aviation capability in Thailand with significant investments.

Bangkok International Airport is a single integrated terminal spread over 563,000 sq. meters, serving around 70 million people annually making it the twentieth busiest airport in the world, and sixth busiest airport in Asia.
