Takeshita Street is a well-known shopping street in Harajuku known for starting the kawaii culture. The street has tons of shops selling bright colorful clothing as well as serving up some crazy snacks and sweet treats. One being the famous rainbow cotton candy!
I remember seeing it for the first time a few years ago and telling myself that I’d have to get it if I ever visited Tokyo. I even waited in line for a similar one in LA a while back but now that I’m in Tokyo I finally got the real thing!
Every color is a different flavor! My favorite is the blue and green which are soda and melon flavored. The cotton candy is gigantic so I recommend sharing it, but even then it’s hard to finish. But if you’re visiting Harajuku, it’s a must! 🌈
