Описание: The Public Services and Allied Sector organization under the World Trade Union Federation has urged Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) not to abolish trade unions in the country.
In a letter addressed to PM Balen on 19 April 2026, the federation requested that trade unions in Nepal should not be dissolved. The letter, signed by General Secretary Jola Sapeth, stated that any move to abolish trade unions would go against international law and the spirit of Nepal’s constitution. It also warned that such action would directly harm workers’ rights to organize, associate, and engage in collective bargaining.
