Product Spotlight: Sons of Liberty Garand Thumb Rifle

It has a Bravo Company BCM Mod 0 pistol grip, plus Bravo Company's Mod 0 stock on SOLGW's own A5-length receiver extension (aka, buffer tube). The A5 is anchored by a Forward Controls Design castle nut securely staked in three places. The QD sling swivel socket on the endplate is matched by a BCM M-LOK® QD socket on the handguard. Inside the buffer tube, there's Vltor's A5 buffer system to help the rifle shoot smoothly. (Check out our Quick Tip video, "Benefits of an A5 Buffer in Your AR-15," with SOLGW's Mike Mihalski.)

Inside the upper receiver you'll find a SOLGW bolt-carrier group and ambi charging handle. The SOLGW forward assist has a unique, deep serration pattern on the button so your thumb won't slip off. The Sons of Liberty 5.56 NATO chambered 14.5" barrel has a SureFire SF3P flash suppressor pinned to the muzzle end, so you're set to run a SureFire suppressor or Warden muzzle device.

The Sons of Liberty M89 M-LOK® handguard, with the customary full-length M1913 Picatinny top rail, brings new meaning to the old term "rock solid." Anti-rotation tabs keep the M89 aligned with the receiver. The three bolts that clamp it the steel barrel nut actually pull the handguard tighter to the receiver.

Moving to the lower receiver, SOLGW's ambi safety selector has swappable short and long levers. The Geissele SSA-E trigger offers a two-stage pull. The exterior of the lower receiver has both SOLGW's "Scalper" logo and the Task Force 69 logo on the magwell.

Each Sons of Liberty Garand Thumb rifle comes in a padded rifle case with three SOLGW stainless steel 30-round magazines, plus a Lifetime Warranty certificate signed by..... well, basically everybody at SOLGW who worked on it, including owner Mike Mihalski.
