Synopsis: Scream - Wes Craven re-invented and revitalised the slasher-horror genre with this modern horror classic, which manages to be funny, clever and scary, as a fright-masked knife maniac stalks high-school students in middle-class suburbia. Craven is happy to provide both tension and self-parody as the body count mounts - but the victims aren't always the ones you'd expect.

The film boldly fires barbs at the classic scenes from "Scream," "The Sixth Sense," "The Matrix," "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "The Blair Witch Project," then goes on to mock a whole myriad of teen movie clichés, no matter the genre.

all right so scary movie which is better has one of the best but obscure reference jokes that I have to applaud so obviously scary movie is a parody of scream and in Scream principal Hembree is played by Henry Winkler who as you know played The Fawns on Happy Days now scary movie has principal squigman played by David L Lander who played Squiggy a parody of The Fawns on Laverne and Shirley which was a spin-off of the Happy Days a whole lot of inner connectivity but the fact that the Wayne's Brothers got like that obscure with the parody element is like that's kind of cool right he's absolutely right
