Because it is the hand that gives man the power to do the work, man earns money, eats food, worships God and most of the daily work is completed by hand. One should believe in karma and one who does karma should not worry about anything. At the same time, we should also believe in our hands that we can accomplish all the tasks with the help of it.

कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्वती ।
करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥


English Transcript

karagre vasate lakshmi karamadhye sarasvati |
karamule tu govinda prabhate karadarshanam ||

English Translation

Lakshmi ji resides at the top of the hand.
Mother Saraswati resides in the middle of the hand.
Shri Bhagwan Govind resides in the lower part of the hand.
Every morning we should have darshan in our hand.

Hindi Translation

हाथ के अग्र भाग में लक्ष्मी जी का वास होता है,
हाथ के मध्यभाग में सरस्वती माँ का वास है,
हाथ के मूल अर्थात निम्न भाग में श्री भगवान गोविंद का निवास है,
प्रत्येक सुबह हमें अपने हाथ का दर्शन करना चाहिए।
