Jump start your career in forestry with ODF.
The Oregon Department of Forestry is hiring Forest Crew Coordinators around Tillamook and Forest Grove to run ten-man prison crews to perform forestry work, campground and trail maintenance, and wildland firefighting. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and get some of the best forestry experience available.
We’ll provide the training, fire classes, clothing, gear and a company truck for commuting – along with full benefits. FCCs work four ten-hour shifts running crews and mentoring Adults in Custody (AICs) with three days off. And, you’ll work in some of the most beautiful forestlands on Earth.
Crew Coordinators go on to work in forestry, full-time fire protection and many other critical roles across the state and federal forestry.
