Maybe the best value for a Telecaster. Reasonable weight, great Mary Kaye blonde finish and upgraded Fender Player series bridge pickup. Tasty butterscotch neck. I would rate other teles higher for playability, but what more do you want for less than $400?
The Ampeg GVT15 is a real sleeper. Light, loud, great classic dirt tones and takes pedals well. The midrange is very useful and will almost double the gain when overdriven. The reverb sounds good, but has too much dwell to be useful across the full range of the control. The bass really shines through a closed-back cab. Very versatile grab-and-gig amp.
