Описание: AccessibleEU is the European Resource Centre on accessibility, a key initiative under the European Commission. In this session AccessibleEU aims to highlight the intersection of accessible technologies, emergency preparedness, and the European Accessibility Act.

Keynote Speaker. Inmaculada Placencia Porrero. Senior Expert in Disability, DG JUST, European Commission

This session will highlight the experiences and perspective of persons with disabilities during migration, war and environmental crisis, taking into account the relevance of accessibility. Topics addressed will include challenges—and solutions—regarding evacuation, shelter and mobility of persons with disabilities. This forum will focus on how the European Accessibility Act enables innovative accessible technologies to deliver more equitable crisis response. Topics addressed will include among others, accessibility in 112 calls, universal design in public alert systems and evacuation technologies, as well as good practices in accessibility training for first responders and emergency management organisations (EMO) and departments.
