In case you wonder about the instrument: The Santoor or "Santur" belongs to the instrument groups of hammered dulcimers (like the Irish dulcimer or the German / Austrian "Hackbrett") and its origin s supposed to trace back 2500 years ago. There is as well the Indian Santoor which is similar yet different to the Persian Santoor which is seen here in the video. This instrument would be tuned and played quite differently in traditional Persian music. I am using a Western-style tuning, tuned to 444 Hz (C= 528 Hz) in this case, and developed my own way of playing, strongly influenced by my work as a Sound Healing Facilitator. I hope you like the simplicity, the tempo, the energy that this music brings into your life. :)
