May 31st, 2021, this is the day that Nvidia is suppose to be announcing their RTX-3080ti and RTX-3070ti models in the new LHR / Low Hash Rate configuration. The low hash rate should make these cards less desirable for mining cryptocurrencies like Ethereum / ETH and may put more cards into the hands and systems of gamers, video editors and so on.
The RTX-3080ti LHR is suppose to be released in the first week of June with reviews coming very soon, and the RTX-3070ti LHR is set to be released 1 week after that. The cards will be able to be told apart from others based on the LHR on the box, and for those more technical, that the part number on the GPU chip will end in 2.
GPU shortages, chip shortages, and graphics cards shortages have been big talking points recently. NVidia delayed the release of these cards almost 3 weeks, were they short of product or are they planning to try to re-take the consumer market by releasing a huge pile of these cards on the first day?
