In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to combine 1mm structural wire and 0.4mm weaving wire to create a plaited effect, with an optional contrasting colour combo if you want to add a bit of flair. We’ll also incorporate a focal element – this could be a donut bead, double-drilled gemstone, or simply a pair of coordinated beads.

I’ll take you step-by-step through the tools and techniques, including using bail-making pliers and other basic wirework tools. It’s a fantastic project for beginners looking to expand their wire weaving skills and create something unique and wearable.
