Special Robot Showcase on Display at London Science Museum

Описание: A special robot show is currently on display at the London Science Museum, showcasing 500 years of robot development.

The robot exhibition opened to the public on February 8, and explores humanity's obsession of making humanoids. More than 100 robots are currently on display at the museum.

An animatronic baby amazed viewers with lifelike moves and its human like appearance.

Another one named Robotthespain is a social robot. With a similar size to a human beings, it is special for being able to give performances and serve as a host.

Among those robots, a Japanese produced news anchor robot Kodomoroid looks identical to a human being.

Besides humanoid robots, robot arms were also displayed with a purpose of helping people with daily life chores.

"The exhibition has lots of robots that can be used, to care for people when they get older, or as companions, or to help people at work. I think in the future there will be more of these robots. So we will get used to having more robots around us and working with them and helping humans," said Will Stanley, an interpreter at the show.

The show will run until September this year.
