Tata Motors launches India’s first sub-compact SUV- PUNCH at Rs. 5.49 Lakhs.

This beautiful Micro SUV Tata Punch will be available in 4 different Variants - Pure , Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Yes, the names of the variants are very different and out of the box this time and every variant will have also different Packs also. Pure and Adventure will have rhythm pack whereas Accomplished will have dazzle pack and in top variant Creative will have a iRA pack which will consist only iRA app connectivity which is so much techy touch to this very impressive SUV.

Rhythm pack in Pure - Rs35000/-

Automatic transmission available only in top three variants for which you will have to pay Rs60000/- more than Manual versions.

Based on the same ALFA arc platform as the Altroz, the Punch is having smaller wheelbase than the hatchback and going by what is considered standard. The nose is akin to the Harrier with sleek LEDs on the top and a tri-arrow design where the headlamps will be placed. The imposing bumpers hint at aggressive body cladding on the production model. Tyre size in all new Tata punch is 16inches in top variant.

Once you look past all the accessories and garnish in the cabin, you can tell that the Punch, in its top-spec models, will get a segment standard feature list. This includes button start, cruise control, climate control, semi-digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment with floating display, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, rear armrest and a dual tone colour scheme cabin.

It comes with Tata’s 1.2-litre petrol Revotron engine that produces 84bhp/113Nm and had with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual. We also expect a CNG option to be made available once the rest of the Tata range has got it.

When it arrives, the Punch will enter into the newly formed micro SUV segment and will rival against the likes of the Mahindra KUV100 and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. We expect Tata to price the Punch (HBX) in the range of Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 10lakhs.
