Rebecca White was known as a kind person and an excellent therapist. White worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at her own therapy practice, Down to Earth Therapy Solutions in Orlando, before she was stabbed and killed by one of her former clients on Jan. 19.
Deputies said 39-year-old Michael Smith, who moved to Orlando in October 2025, showed up at her office on the night of Jan. 19, demanding to see her. She asked him to leave and called 911. Deputies said Smith attacked White and stabbed her multiple times. Another man who was there, a patient, tried to help and was also stabbed.
