National Arts Centre cuts ties with controversial Chinese dance group, Shen Yun

Internal emails released to CBC News show the centre worried about breaches of contract and the potential for human rights complaints over Shen Yun’s alleged mistreatment of people with disabilities. Shen Yun is affiliated with Falun Gong, a spiritual movement banned in China and at odds with that country’s government.
