Tensions continue to escalate in Madanapalle following the tragic death of a 7-year-old girl. Angry relatives and locals staged massive protests, demanding strict punishment for the accused. Residents blocked the Kadiri–Madanapalle highway and raised slogans. When Kadapa district SP Nachiketh Vishwanath arrived to console the victim’s family, protestors stopped him and demanded that the accused be handed over to them.
Police identified the suspect, Kulavardhan, using CCTV footage. He allegedly lured the child into his house and committed the crime. The girl’s body was found inside a drum after three days of search operations.Villagers surrounded the accused’s house and demanded capital punishment.
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha spoke to the victim’s mother over phone and assured strict action and maximum punishment under law.
