Once again I'm trying to keep the oil from leaking on the driveway. this time its in my 2007 dodge ram 3500 cummins with the Manual gearbox. This G56 transmission started leaking a little while ago due to overfilling to try to quiet the rollover noise made by converting to single mass flywheel and dual disc clutch (valair organic dual disc)
the part number for the replacement boot is 55-0208 just google "55-0208 CV boot" and it will bring up a few options of places to buy it.
And as you may see in the video the stainless clamps that come with it don't really work in this application so get some better hose clamps for the job too.
Stop out to the shop anytime and see whats going on this week.
I spend a lot of time out in the workshop and i am always fixing, scapring and recycling things to try to make this world a better place and keep the 'Do it yourself" spirit alive.
I am a computer Network Engineer by profession but my parents and grand parents are Plumbers, engineers, and Teachers so I hope to pass the same Can_Do onto my kids, and maybe some people on youtube.
