In the latest development, the three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Justice Krishna S Dixit, and Justice JM Khazi will deliver the verdict very shortly on Tuesday, March 15. Ahead of this, Section 144 has been in Bangalore from March 15 for one week. No protests or gatherings will be permitted in the city.
Ahead of the verdict, Home minister Araga Jnanendra met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to brief him on police deployment. The home minister said, "Security has been deployed across Karnataka. Sensitive places have been marked and more deployment is done. Karnataka is a peace-loving state. No preventive arrests have been made."
