‘Rise with the Sun’ is a ray of light for the days when we all need a lift. With swirling pedal steel guitar and a sun-drenched rhythm section, it has echoes of the California sound of the 70’s mixed with hints of Beck, Eels and a smattering of alt-country. The song is a new collaboration between musician/actor Steve Wall (The Walls/The Stunning) and multi-instrumentalist and producer Simon O’Reilly. Recorded over lockdown the song applies to anytime in our lives when we struggle with will power and self-discipline and just getting out of bed!
