Interview with trail and ultra runner, Adam Doe of Albuquerque, New Mexico by runner and writer, Brian Siddons, of Andover, Minnesota. We discuss how he made the commitment to move from Minnesota to Colorado, and eventually to New Mexico, as a way to up the level of his training and racing. We also talk about how to manage a tough day of racing when things don't go as planned.
Adam opens up about his love for the trails and you can tell it's a perfect sport for him. We cover some nutrition talk as well as overall fitness workouts. And beer. We finish with talk about the upcoming Voyageur 50 Mile Trail Race, which he won in 2019.
There isn't a perfect way to train, or even a one size fits most. As with Adam, and most of us, it's a constant state of seeing what works, what doesn't and then moving forward.
