Last of the Summer Wine was a British sitcom that followed the adventures of a group of elderly friends living in the fictional town of Holmfirth in West Yorkshire.

The show centered around three main characters: a lovable but bumbling old man named Compo, his best friend and sidekick, a curmudgeonly old man named Cleggy, and their eccentric and mischievous friend, Foggy.

The three friends would often embark on various misadventures, getting into all sorts of hilarious situations as they tried to make the most of their golden years. They were joined by a cast of colorful supporting characters, including Nora Batty, a feisty old woman who was the object of Compo's affections; Howard, a pompous and uptight man who constantly found himself at odds with the trio; and Ivy, a sweet old lady who was often the voice of reason among the group.

Throughout its run, the show was known for its clever writing and its ability to capture the joys and challenges of growing older. It was a beloved institution in Britain, and its final episode aired on 29 August 2010, after 37 seasons and 295 episodes.
