Learn the basic terms of coordinate systems used by telescope software such as altitude, azimuth, declination and right ascension. I'll got over the advantages of alt-azimuth mounts and equatorial mounts. I demonstrate the stops I used in setting up my equatorial mount telescope before darkness, and the final three steps after darkness. I go into detail on how to polar align the Skywatcher HEQ5 mount by using the polar scope reticle and using the ZWO ASIAIR Wireless Controller.
