Support Eid-ul-Ezha Clean Up by Garbagecan!

Описание: Eid-ul-Adha is a blessed time. But every year we see animal remains on the streets which add to the trash and diseases further.

Our organization has some experience with municipal waste management and in 2019 post-Eid we helped clean up spaces in certain areas of Karachi, such as Gizri, Ayesha Manzil, Pak Colony, Buffer Zone, Kamran Chowrangi etc. Plus, we have taken up the responsibility of cleaning up the University of Karachi for 2020 with a formal MOU that we are fulfilling effectively.

Hence, even though in a limited capacity (vehicles, personnel, tools, and management) as it will be based on donations, we want to support the city for the clean-up for Eid-ul-Adha 2020 with no expectation of compensation. We have already made a video Public Service Message to make the public aware of how to dispose off offals (animal remains) after the Sacrifice.

We are in the process of seeking access to ‘Offal Collection Points’ or ‘Transfer Stations’ to make the process efficient.

Number and types of vehicles we will be using
(based on high volume on Day 1 and reducing volumes on Days 2 and 3.)

Day 1: 10 Shehzors, 5 Suzukis, 5 Cinqis.
Day 2: 5 Suzukis, 5 Cinqis.
Day 3: 5 Cinqis.

We have selected the following areas to service. These are colonies around the DHA/Clifton area and have the most problem with the clean ups (we might add two more areas nearby):

Neelam Colony,
Delhi Colony,
Punjab Colony,
Lower Gizri,
Bakshan Village,
P&T Colony,
Hijrat Colony,
Hazara Colony, and
Railway Colony.
