I have played and posted this song on Bass a couple times in the past. The last time was on September 14th of 2024 when I posted it. However, this is the first time I've had proper strings to play it and not have it sound like complete s**t. Not to mention, with the strings I had, it made it really precarious to even try to play this one in the first place. My score was already sitting at 98.4% when I got to it for this attempt. I was hoping to improve it on this attempt and I did. I actually hoped to improve it a bit more than I did but I'm still pretty happy it went up. I know it also sounds a lot better now than the fairly small score increase would indicate it should. It still isn't amazing but it's getting better and I'm happy for now because I love this song. The score here climbed to 98.8% but then dropped a tenth when I clicked "Accept" and settled on 98.7% Accuracy as listed in the title bar.
Now Some General Information About My Last 3 Days of Practice:
However, I also played and kept a total of 96 different songs which improved and thus, I kept, in the past 3 days, and now have to detail them all. For that reason, I'm simply not able to type a book for each one like I normally do. I'm going to put some some general information about what I've done in the last three days and that's all of the remainder of the details here. I've not ever played and improved that many in such a short time at any point in the past. I don't know what the most I had kept before this had been but I'd never gotten much more than 20 in a practice on my best days and in similar length practice sessions. I've been playing really well so I sort of set myself a couple records.
Here's an idea of what that looks like in regard to 100% Accuracy scores alone over those 3 days. Before I began practice on January 6th I had so far managed 100% Accuracy on a total of 822 songs {Including Any Repeats} since I began learning to play 6-String just over 4 Years ago and Bass 2 Years ago. I played and kept a total of 30 songs from that practice. Out of those 30 songs, 16 of them were 100% Accuracy scores. That was a new record for me for both the number I played which were keepers and the number of 100%'ers in a single practice.
Previous to that, the most 100%'ers I'd gotten in a day had been 7 or 8 but I don't recall exactly. So, as of January 7th I had raised my 1 Day x 100% Accuracy play-through record to 16 which brought the number up to 838 x 100% scores I had. Then, when I practiced the following night and I wanted to see if I could beat that. I did beat that and I managed to play and get 32 keepers that night. Out of those, 21 of those were 100% Accuracy scores. That means I achieved the new goal / record again. It doesn't end there though. Last night I set out to beat that record one more time before I'm away for the weekend. Somehow, I did in fact reach that goal once again.
Last night, I played and kept a total of 34 more songs, although, I was out to get 35, Rocksmith froze on that 35th which I was about to play and it was very late so I took it as a sign and called it a night. Even so, it was two more than the previous night and I already have a literal f**k-ton of songs I have to detail, which will take me all weekend to catch up so it's okay. Out of those 34 I played, 23 of those came out to 100% Accuracy as well. That makes my new record for 100% Accuracy scores to be standing now at 23 in a single practice session. To give some perspective, In the entire first 2 years of playing Rocksmith, I didn't even manage a total of 30 scores of 100% Accuracy. I started on December 15th of 2021 and at the end of September of 2023, I had 27 of them. They really still felt pretty rare for me until recently. I'm starting to realize they're becoming a bit more frequent.
I gained a total of 60 new scores of 100% Accuracy over the past 3 days alone. Now, for clarity, not all of those were first time 100% Accuracy scores. The vast majority of them were ones that I had not done that before on the song. Many of them I hadn't even played at all and the 100% scores I got were on my first go through that CDLC but I don't have the time to go into all those details. In the end, a basic breakdown looks something like this... In the first two years I managed less than 30 scores of 100% on any and all songs I played. I am currently 4 Years & 24 Days into this {Learning to Play Guitars} and only 2 Years in from when I added Bass to it. As of today, I have 882 play-throughs {which I've kept} and uploaded that are 100%'ers. I've got at least another 2 dozen I didn't keep for various reasons as well. I'm pretty sure I can say I'm improving at this and that's awesome.
