In this video I turn on the wood lathe a moon made of Yew and a love heart made from Purple Heart. They are supported by a binnacle resting on a pedestal turned from Oak. The other materials used are Stainless Steel tubing, Epoxy Resin filled straws and a plaque of Corian machined on a homemade CNC router, which has been thermoformed around the love heart. The product is finished with spray paint automotive clear lacquer and a high friction wax polish.
