Antimony, vanadium and rare earths - only one is on every critical mineral list

Описание: More critical mineral supply is originating from Western countries, said Christopher Ecclestone, principal and mining strategist at Hallgarten & Company.

This week Ecclestone recorded Green Rush with host Matt Watson, founder of Precious Metals Commodity Management.

The two looked at three metals: antimony, vanadium and rare earths.

Watson noted that in updated critical mineral lists published by IEA, U.S.A., E.U. and China, only rare earths made it onto everyone's table. Antimony and vanadium were excluded from a few.

Western countries have been investing to break China's hold on critical mineral supply.

"China cornered the market on processing, but that's breaking down now," said Ecclestone, who noted that within five years a meaningful percent of processing will occur in Western countries.

"It's not a subject that keeps me awake at night anymore."
