This film marks the 40th anniversary of the redevelopment of the Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside, widely recognised as one of the UK’s most influential and enduring examples of urban regeneration.
Commissioned to support the Farrell Centre exhibition, in partnership with Muse, the developers of Newcastle Quayside, the film celebrates the Quayside’s transformation over four decades and its profound role in shaping Newcastle’s identity, economy and cultural life. It positions the Quayside not simply as a successful development, but as a long-term, evolving piece of city-making built through vision, partnership and belief in place.
