BOEING 747 WHEELIE LANDING - B747-200 Classic in ACTION (4K)

Описание: Have you ever seen a Wheelie Landing of a Boeing 747? Right after touchdown the B747 kept the nose gear up in the air for a while. That procedure is called "aerodynamic braking" in the aviation industry. They keep the front wheel up for as long as possible to slow the airplane down. It` s the first time I have seen a Boeing 747 follow this procedure. Normally I have only seen Ilyushin IL76`s land like this.

The Boeing 747-200 Classic is a very rare plane. There are just around 15 of them still active worldwide and FlyPro Cargo is one of the last operators of the aircraft type. Luckily last week on sunday we had two B747-200 at Liege within 2 hours. ER-BAT and ER-BAR (edited) both operated a flight for Silk Way and the routing was Baku - Liege - Baku. ER-BAT was delivered new to Singapore and ER-BAU started its aviation life with Alitalia in 1981. The aircraft was eben based in belgium for a while because it operated for the belgian cargo airline CargoB between 2007 and 2010. After the airline stopped operating I still remember that this aircraft was parked at Liege for almost 6 months. Great to see the aircraft in action again almost 14 years later.
