DIY Lace Up Jeans

Описание: Some grommets and a hammer can get you a "groovy" pair of lace up jeans with just a little effort. (sorry, not sure why it blacks out in a few places here, it was fine on computer playback, so must have been a glitch when I was uploading)

These are something I've been wanting to make for quite a while, and I was recently asked how to make them, so I figured a tutorial would be the best way to explain it. I chose to make mine a bit subtle with the blue and brown combo, but you can go wild and add whatever colors you want.

The fake black leather I used to line the edges of the cut jeans and the alova for the understrip and lacings I found at JoAnn Fabrics, but you can use pretty much any fabric you like, as long as it's a type that doesn't fray. I used the hammer in type of eyelets because I already had them on hand, but they also sell eyelet pliers that make the job a whole lot faster.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
A pair of jeans
1 foot of additional denim for the bell insert
4 3-inch wide strips of fake black leather long enough to go up to the pockets of your jeans
4 long laces of your chosen color
2 3-inch wide strips of non-fraying fabric to sew under the lacings (optional)
Scissors
Sewing machine or needle and thread
