The northern lights, or aurora borealis, are light born more than 100 kilometers above Iceland.
Green usually comes from oxygen, red glows higher up, and violet shows when nitrogen joins in.
Seeing them takes both patience and luck. It’s less about chasing big KP numbers and more about finding clear skies and waiting. These clips show the Northern Lights across Iceland's skies: Snaefellsnes Peninsula， mountains, a lighthouse, etc.
