I’ve been riding mountain bikes for about a year, and I just learned something that completely changed how my bike feels — brake setup.
In this video, I show how moving your brake levers inboard and adjusting lever reach makes one- or two-finger braking easier, more comfortable, and more controlled.
When my brakes were set up straight out of the box, I was forced to use my whole hand just to stop. After adjusting them properly, braking feels more natural and confident — especially on the trail.
This might be beginner info for some riders, but nobody ever told me, so I figured it might help someone else too.
