Many medical professionals are still more familiar with binary transitions. They may automatically assume you want a “standard” transmasc or transfem path even when that’s not what you want at all.
Things like micro dosing, partial changes, or non-binary transition goals often aren’t explained and we end up having to educate our own doctors or therapists.
