Which players on the Browns could be in jeopardy of losing their starting spots to rookies in 2026?

Описание: The Cleveland Browns made it clear in the 2026 NFL Draft—they’re not handing out starting jobs, they’re making guys earn them. And when you look at this rookie class, there are a few veterans who should absolutely feel that pressure heading into camp.

Start with Cedric Tillman. The addition of KC Concepcion and a bigger-bodied target like Denzel Boston changes the math in that room. Tillman has flashed, no question—but flashes don’t lock down a starting role. Concepcion brings versatility and separation ability that fits what this offense needs, while Boston gives you size and physicality on the outside. If Tillman doesn’t show consistency early, this could quickly turn into a rotation where he’s no longer a top-two option.

Then look inside at Luke Wypler. The Browns bringing in a rookie center out of Alabama is not by accident—that’s competition. Wypler has had moments, but durability and consistency have been part of the conversation. Rookie centers coming from programs like Alabama tend to be pro-ready, especially mentally. If that rookie shows command of protections and holds up physically, Wypler could find himself either in a battle or sliding into more of a depth role.

And don’t sleep on Zak Zinter either. Interior offensive line play is all about reliability, and Cleveland has invested heavily in that unit. If Zinter doesn’t lock down his spot early, the Browns have shown they’re willing to shuffle that line to find the best five. With young talent coming in and veterans already competing, nothing is guaranteed.

Bottom line—this is what good teams do. They create real competition. Tillman, Wypler, and Zinter aren’t being pushed out the door, but they’re being pushed. And if the rookies hit early, don’t be surprised if the Browns roll with whoever gives them the best chance to win, regardless of draft status or experience.
