A little buffing in the afternoon on the Reading and Northern Railroad on October 17th, 2021. Starting out at Panther Creek outside of the heart of Nesquehoning, the RDC excursion from Jim Thorpe to Pottsville, JTPV, is seen heading west with RDC-1 9168 & RDC-3 9166. After the RDCs, the day's Fall Foliage excursion outta Outer Station, running as JTOS is seen at the same location in a bit of sun. An impressive and fully booked 17 car train arrives at Panther Creek led by F9A 270, F7B 275, SD50-2 5018 and SD50-2 5019, making for a great matched quartet of locomotives. We see JTOS again at Church Road in Barnesville, Zehners in South Tamaqua and in Molino, before catching the train arriving in Outer Station at the end of the trip.
