Cloud and Star Timelapse December 12, 2025 - Gifford Pinchot Forest, Washington
Timelapse of stars and clouds shot at 2700' up behind Mt Adams. Shot from about 10PM - 3AM. Was hoping to catch some Aurora from Coronal Hole High Speed Solarwind influence, but Bz unfortunately stayed North all night. Can see some VERY faint pink glow on right side of Mt Adams was about all that I captured for Aurora.
However, the clear skies made for a beautiful timelapse of the Milky Way, Andromeda galaxy, and heavy Geminid meteor shower activity. Shocking that even this far south the light pollution from Seattle/Tacoma was enough to still be seen.
Shot using Canon EOS RP with Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 Lens at 6s exposures with 3200 ISO using intervalometer.
