In 1974, my father won a holiday to Martinique, and took me and my older brother along for the experience. I still have extremely vivid memories of Martinique from our trip, such as huge fruit bats flying around in the airport terminal, and learning to swim. I am the younger of the two boys.
Here we explore Fort De France, visit some of the tourist areas, shops etc, see a few sights and have a coconut drink, before going back to our hotel (the Meridien) on a ferry.
