L/S of Ministry of Food (MOF) office block. Inside, two female cooks are testing out recipes sent in by listeners to the "Kitchen Front broadcasts". Various shots of one of the cooks making a ginger sponge pudding. We see her mixing the ingredients and then steaming the pudding in a pan over a hob.



Employees of the Ministry are asked to taste the recipes. Various shots of the lift attendants hanging up a sign reading "lift service suspended". The lift-men taste the pudding. One screws up his face - he does not like ginger. The other seems to like the dessert!
