Starvation leads to many deaths every year. India accounts for more than 25% of world hunger and this alarming percentage is rising every year. To help needy people survive, Dera Sacha Sauda is running the 'Food Bank' initiative. The food bank is proving as a life savior for many underprivileged families who were not able to afford food and satisfy the hunger needs of their family members. The initiative has been started by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, and by following the teachings of Guruji, DSS volunteers provide monthly free food kits to the destitute in every city. With the motive to achieve zero hunger and end up starvation altogether, this initiative is successfully illuminating the lives of people who were unable to feed their families because of financial constraints. Salute to His Holiness for realizing their pain and saving them from starvation.
