Recently, windows did an automatic update July 2022.
One of the steps was the following:
Use recommended browser settings
Get world class performance, privacy, and productivity as you browse with the latest Microsoft Edge- the best browser for Windows.
Use recommended browser settings
Set the latest Microsoft Edge as your default browser and pin to your desktop and taskbar.
Don't update your browser settings
Keep your existing settings.
Long story short.. this message has nothing to do with updating microsoft edge settings.
What it's really asking you to do is "Let me change your default browser to Microsoft Edge"
Yep.. this was VERY misleading.. and I was abit perturbed by microsoft trying to slip this in.
Long story short, I do not recommend clicking the first option. NOTE: Microsoft Edge is NOT the best browser for Windows. This is 100% subjective!
