A once-a-year return to Japan.
With the year-end and New Year season being a busy time for everyone, I chose not to reach out to friends, and spent two weeks on my own.
Had I been spending that time with someone, these thoughts might have been buried beneath the liveliness of shared moments. Instead, I found myself returning to them — while driving, walking through unfamiliar streets, and riding trains along the way.
