The national capital has declared 'public health emergency' over the deteriorating air quality index. Here, the PM 2.5 microscopic, lethal, toxic particles have risen above 300 micrograms per cubic meter. On Saturday, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded at 508, as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 was marked at 330 in the 'severe' category.
