Inside a forgotten WWII coastal fort, time seems to have stood still. The concrete walls are weathered by wind and rain, and beyond the embrasures lies the eternal roar of waves and storms. But this time, the fort will no longer echo with emptiness—I decided to build a living room here, with my own hands, one capable of withstanding any gale or downpour.
This is a solitary build, and also a silent conversation. No team, no heavy machinery—just the tools at hand, materials foraged from the land, and a heart determined to create a place of peace at the edge of the world. From clearing the rubble and laying the stone foundation, to raising the wooden beams, building the fireplace, and installing the hand-polished window... every step unfolds in silence. The only sounds are those of tools meeting materials, the storm raging outside the walls, and the first crackle of fire coming to life in the hearth.
This video contains no dialogue or narration. It aims to immerse you, through imagery and ambient sound, in the complete process of creating something from nothing—turning ruins into sanctuary.
