Описание: More than 100 demonstrators, 30 of whom were eventually arrested at the Bakken pipeline staging area in Boone, IA, gathered in the meeting room of the Pilot Mound, IA, City Hall to receive training. This part of the training consisted of orienting all to behavior when being arrested and enlisting those who will voluntarily seek arrest as part of the demonstration. The Bakken pipeline stretches from North Dakota to Illinois, passing through 18 counties in Iowa. Major issues are illegal use of imminent domain for the pipeline's construction and the effects on water quality of inevitable breaks in the pipeline. The action was coordinated by Bold Iowa, Catholic Worker House, and Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement, all based in Des Moines.
