Dr. Andrea Braverman is an incredibly brilliant therapist (and professor) who specializes in fertility care. She so generously shared her wisdom on how to talk to our kids about being donor conceived as well as how to approach the subject of genetic half-siblings.
As the non-biological mom (I carried our kids but they were my wife's egg), I was hesitant to dig into the "diblings" (aka donor siblings - although some people don't like that term) but we recently connected with them and it has been amazing!!
I keep reminding myself - one step at a time. It's all new for all of us and we're doing the best we can.
